| I read a sad story about a 3 year old boy that died on some blind cords on April 22 2008 in Chicago Illinois. I can't stress enough to never,ever, put a crib under a window. The change table can go there. Move the darn thing. My wife just had a baby and I can't imagine what would happen if we ever lost her. Some other suggestions to help keep baby safe: No soft, loose and fluffy bedding should be included in the baby's sleep area. This include pillows, quilts, comforters, bumper pads, sheep skins, stuffed toys and other soft products. Never hang anything on or above a crib with a string or ribbon longer than seven inches.(This precaution lowers the risk of strangulation.) Use angle braces or anchors to secure large or heavy furniture and objects to the wall, which presents a tipping hazard.
